2008 Cat’s Pee on a Gooseberry Bush

Region: New Zealand

Varietal: Sauvignon Blanc

The grapes for this wine were carefully selected to capture the famous character and essence of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Warm summer days and cool evenings have produced a wine with strong gooseberry aromas and gentle hints of cat(?). Serve this intensely flavored dry whit wine as an apertif or with salad, seafood and pasta dishes. Enjoy lightly chilled.”

L:
Sweet and fruity. Kind of tart. Definitely better chilled. An okay wine but I don’t think I would drink it again.

Guest Judge, J:
I can see why they call it “Cat’s Pee”.
